We welcome opportunities to work with San Antonio-area schools, teachers, counselors and administrators. VFW Post 1533 can help schools connect eligible students with VFW educational programs and provide opportunities for students to learn from the experiences of America’s veterans. We support schools through:

Post 1533 Scholarship - Investing in Higher Education
Education is an important part of VFW Post 1533’s commitment to supporting our members and their families. The Post’s scholarship was established in memory of Staff Sergeant Geffre, U.S. Army, to support higher education for qualifying family members of Post members.
Through this scholarship program, as a qualified 501(c)(19) Veteran non-profit organization, VFW Post 1533 has provided more than $100,000 in higher education scholarships to family members of Post members. Learn more
